8 Backdrop Ideas for Corporate Events

At any event, the backdrop for your stage or presentation area delivers important messages to the audience about your brand, so you need to make sure it hits the mark. At a corporate event, you will not only be trying to entertain your audience but also to educate and even advertise to them as well. Here are some of our favourite backdrop ideas for corporate events.

1. Custom branding

Your backdrop should definitely feature some custom branding as this will help people to ingrain your brand in your audiences’ minds. Your branding could include your company name, logo, tagline and even your brand’s colour scheme.

This branding can be in the form of dynamic images or even 3D lettering, but it is a good idea to make sure that your branding stays on display in at least one area for the entirety of the event.

If the branded backdrop is only going to be used once, it’s also important to ensure that it can be recycled!

2. LED screens/ video walls

LED screens or video walls are a great idea for your backdrop because they provide crystal clear images whether used inside or outside, and they can be used to show large-scale, high-resolution videos to aid your presentation and keep your audience entertained.

When your screens are not showing video content, they can always switch back to a static or even dynamic backdrop featuring your branding and sponsors. There are even curved options available to ensure that everyone in attendance gets a great view of the action.

3. Projectors

If you don’t think an LED screen or video wall is right for your event, then using projectors is a good idea and still allows you to use videos and images as part of your presentation. Projectors are also a good idea if you have a huge backdrop to fill.

4. Bespoke lighting to illuminate the backdrop and impress the audience

Lighting can serve dual purposes at an event. As well as illuminating your backdrop it can also draw in and entertain your audience. You can use lighting to highlight specific areas of the set or light sequences can even build suspense, like a visual drumroll.

5. Backdrop featuring your event sponsors

Your event sponsors have put in good money to help your event come to life, so it is only fair that you give some recognition and exposure to those you have partnered with. Putting your sponsor’s logos on your backdrop is a good idea throughout the event, rather than just at the end of a presentation or talk.

6. Multiple screens to ensure everyone can see clearly

Having multiple screens for your corporate event backdrop allows everyone in attendance to see the action clearly while also giving you the option to display different videos or graphics on different screens. This will make your event or presentation much more absorbing and energetic.

7. Any decoration as needed

As well as your backdrop, you should consider set dressing to give a fuller aesthetic to your presentation or talk. This may include plants, props, or furniture pieces, and you should also provide seating for speakers, (even if they still choose to stand) so that they are comfortable and relaxed. This will boost their mood and make their performance more natural.

8. Even if it is a virtual event, you still need a good backdrop

If your event is virtual, don’t fall into the trap of thinking that you don’t need a good stage setup or backdrop. Your guests may not be there in person but they will still be expecting a visual experience. In fact, it is a lot easier for attendees to switch off if they are not engaged when they are in their own homes, so you should try and keep them glued to their screens with visual aids.

At a corporate event, your presentations, talks or exhibitions will all have a specific goal when it comes to your audience. Whether you are trying to sell, educate, or simply raise brand awareness, your backdrop should be designed to complement these goals.
